  • Graduation Celebration of “Harach” Kindergarten

    10 students received their first diplomas and graduated from “Harach” Kindergarten, after getting their primary education and completing the first stage of their educational path successfully, on Saturday, June 18, during the graduation celebration of the “Harach” “K. Gulbenkian” Kindergarten.

     

               

     

     

                                    

     

    The KG students presented different dances and songs and sealed the school year 2010-11 with a marvelous performance.


  • Levon Tashjian Wins 2 Medals

    Levon Tashjian continues to amaze us through his determination to participate and win races organized around the country, since he won 2 medals in 2 races last week; a gold medal in Aley and silver in Bikfaya.

                                                                   

     Worth mentioning that, Levon Tashjian is one of the 2 participants in the races representing HMEM Lebanon.


  • Arm. Evan Sec. School’s KG Graduation

    The Kindergarten Graduation celebration of the Armenian Evangelical Secondary School of Anjar took place on Friday, June 17th, at 6:00pm, in the “Hedvig” Hall, where a large number of parents and attendants were present to enjoy the wonderful performance of the students, who sang, danced and recited poems.

     

                             

     

                                                

    The students of the graduate class received their diplomas and the principal of the school Rev. Raffi Messerlian, sealed the event by congratulating the graduates and wishing them further success and higher diplomas…

                              


  • MP Panos Manjian Visits Anjar

    Newly Elected MP, Panos Manjaian, visited Anjar, his hometown, on Sunday, June 19th, accompanied by ARF Central Committee chairman, Hovig Mekhitarian.   

                                                                          

    Awaiting him in the village central square, were the religious fathers, the Mayor of Anjar, Garo Pamboukian, the ARF “G. Ler” Committee members, representatives of associations and unions and a large number of compatriots, in addition to representatives from Zahle and neighboring villages.

    After being welcomed, MP Panos Manjian, headed towards the “S. Zeitlian” Center where he paid respects to the Anjarian Martyrs by saluting and placing flowers near the monument, before starting to accept congratulations for his triumph.                                                    


  • A Lecture By Vartan Matevossian

    The Cultural Council of “Garmir Ler” Committee organized an event on Friday, June 10, at 8:00pm, in the “S. Zeitlian” Center, where Dr. Vartan Matevossian was invited to give a lecture.

                                               

     Dr. Vartan Matevossian, a historian and author of many books, talked about the Aryan race, Armenians and Hitler specifying their characteristics and uniqueness.


  • “Athletic Day” in the Armenian Evangelical Secondary School of Anjar

    On Friday, 27th of May, the students of the Armenian Evangelical schools of Lebanon gathered in the campus of the Armenian Evangelical Secondary School of Anjar, where they competed against each other in games of different categories.

     

       

    After the friendly competitions, the winning groups received medals and trophies, where the president of the Armenian Evangelical Churches’ Union in the Middle East, Rev. Megerdich Karageozian and the Mayor of Anjar, Garo Pamboukian were present to participate in the closure event.


  • Maggie In Anjar

    Maggie, the well known singer of children’s songs, was invited to perform on the oval stage of the “Hrarach K. Gulbenkian” school, on Friday, May 27, in an event organized by the Kindergarten department of the “Harach K. Gulbenkian” school.

     

                                     

     

                                  

     Lena Stamboulian, the conductor of the kindergarten, said the opening words, welcoming the children and their parents who have come to enjoy the performance.


  • “Hampartsum” Ascension Day

    The ladies of Anjar were invited to celebrate "Hampartsum" in Rest. “Razmig”, on Wednesday, June 1st, starting from 3:00pm.

                                        

     

     

     

                                             

                               

    The conductor of the gathering was Mrs. Marijan Tumberian who amused the audience with a special program for the occasion, also the attendants had the chance to watch the dance groups of “Harach K. Gulbenkian” School and Arm. Evan. Sec. School of Anjar, perform.


  • KG Students of “Harach K. Gulbenkian” School Celebrate The Independence Day of Armenia

    On Tuesday, May 31st, the Kindergarten students of the “Harach K. Gulbenkian” school visited “S. Zeitlian” center to congratulate the ARF “G. Ler” committee, the independence day of Armenia.

                                 

     The students sang songs, recited poems and offered a symbolic gift to the chairman of the committee, Apo Malkejian, and in their turn received cookies and juice for being simply adorable…


  • May 28 Independence Day

    The ambassador of Armenia in Lebanon, Ashod Kocharian, visited Anjar to attend the celebration event of the Armenian Independence day which took place on Saturday, May 28, at 6:00pm, in the “S. Zeitlian” Center.

     

    The Rev. Fathers, the Mayor of Anjar, Garo Pamboukian, the ARF “G. Ler” Committee members, representatives of different associations and unions, the HMEM scouts and fanfare and a large number of compatriots were present to welcome the ambassador who arrived with his companions and attended the Independence Day celebration.

                                 

    The opening words were said by Hagop Aintablian, on behalf of the Educational Council of the ARF “Garmir Ler” Committee, who welcomed the ambassador’s visit to the village and spoke about the significance of the May, 28, 1918 triumph and about the state of the Armenian Republic today and the necessity of combining the strengths of the Armenians as a nation.

                                 

     The ambassador, after being invited to speak for the occasion, said that the history of the Armenian nation is full of suffering, struggle for independence and triumphs, it is full of fights fought in Sartarabad, Avarayr, Giligia, Van, Shushi, fights that have strengthened our nation and led us to new triumphs.

                                                         

     The event continued in a celebrative atmosphere where Sevan Metlian started to Sing Armenian patriotic songs and the event ended with the “Arunod Trosh” played by the HMEM fanfare.
