  • Foreign Minister Of Artsakh In Anjar

    On Sunday 14 February 2010, foreign minister of Artsakh, Mr. Kevorki Bedrosian, who has been visiting Lebanon for week, gave a visit to Anjar at 11.30 am accompanied with the representative of the Republic of Artsakh in the Middle East, Mr. Garo Kebabjian.

                                

    Our guest were welcomed by the ARF "Garmir Ler" Committee members in the "S. Zetlian" center before having a meeting with our compatriots, where Mr. Bedroisan gave a detailed explanation about the political, economical and social aspects of Artsakh mainly stressing the political ups and downs after signing of the Armenian-Turkish protocols.

                                


  • Obituary

    With our deep sorrow we inform you the death of Mrs. Araxi Nashalian (1935) that happened on Wednesday 17th February 2010, after suffering from illness for a short period of time.

    The funeral service took place on Thursday, at 2:00 pm in the "St. Paul" church.

    Our deepest condolences to her family.


  • Commemoration Of "Vartanank" And The February Rebellion

    Commemoration of "Vartanank", February rebellion and the Artasakh war took place on Thursday 11 of February at 5 pm in the Armenian Catholic hall.
    Mayor of Anjar Mr. Sebouh Sekayan, chairman of the ARF "Garmir Ler" Committee, the three pastors, representatives of the associations were present in the commemoration beside a large crowd.
    After the Lebanese and the Armenian anthems, Mr. George Apleian made the opening words on behalf of the Educational council of the ARF "Garmir Ler" committee.

       
    The message of Vartanants was conveyed by Rev. Paul Haydostian, President of the "Haigazian" University. In his words, Rev. Haydostian said that "Avarayr" heroes have written one of our brightest pages of history. He continued by telling that their message is still alive and will continue, since it is being passed on from one generation to another.

       
    The second speaker of the day was our compatriot, Mr. Zakar Keshishian, who spoke about the February rebellion and Artsakh War by stressing on the importance of these two happenings in the Armenian history, which came to prove the strong will and the determination of the Armenian nation against sovereignty.  He continue by saying that similar acts were made by the Armenians of Diaspora against the Armenian-Turkish protocols, who came once again to prove the unity of the Armenian nation.

    At the end of his words, Mr. Keshishian highly raised the importance of our village and stressed on the significance of the community effort to be made to maintain its Armenian appearance.

    Before ending the event with a prayer, the "Arakelots" Choir by the conduction of the deacon Krikor Alozian, gracefully performed a bunch of religious songs, which were highly appreciated by the presents.


  • Obituary

    Mr. Shahin Zakarian passed away on Thursday 28th of January 2010, in California after suffering from illness for a short period of time. The funeral service took place on Monday 8 January 2010, at 2:00 pm in the "St. Paul" church.

    Our deepest condolences to his family and relatives.

    On Monday February 1 2010, Mr. & Mrs. Levon and Caroline Kazanjian were blessed with their first child, a baby girl, Christele. Congratulations.


  • Obituary

    With our deep sorrow we inform you the death of Mrs. Kohar Kusbegian (84 yrs.) that happened on Friday 29 January 2010, after suffering from illness for a short period of time. The funeral service took place on Saturday, at 2:00pm in the "St.Paul" church.


  • Musa Ler Youth Association Is Already One Year Old

    Musa Ler Youth association of Armenia has celebrated its first anniversary on 31st January in the presence of more than 60 young Mousa daghians.

    We congratulate the association for their first anniversary and wish them success and further achievements. Worth mentioning that the association has already lunched its website (www.musaler.am). You can visit their site to have a closer look to their history, activities and events.


  • A Meeting With Tatoul Hagopian

    On Sunday 24 January 2010, Anjarians had the chance to have a meeting with our Armenian correspondent and analyst Tatoul Hagopian in the "S.Zetlian" Center at 5:00 pm.

    The opening words were made by Mr. George Apelian on behalf of the Educational Committee, where he introduced the journalist and invited him to convey his message. Mr. Hagopian briefly introduced the Armenian-Turkish relations during the era of the preceding three  presidents, stressing on the main developments that took place during each presidential period.

                                                   

    Then he spoke in details about signed protocols, expressing his deepest concern about the issue. At the end, our compatriots were able to ask questions which were worrying them and were able to get satisfactory answers.
