  • Obituary

    Mrs. Sima Chaparian-Doudaklian passed away on Sunday 25th of January after suffering from illness for a short period of time. The funeral service took place on Monday at pm 2:00 pm in the "St.Paul" church.


  • Obituary

    With our deep sorrow we inform you the death of Mrs. Sima Doudaklian (90 yrs.), mother of Simon, Movses, Avedis, Bedros, Hannes and Lousin, that happened on Friday 23rd of January.

    The funeral service took place on Saturday at 2:00 pm in the "St.Paul" church.

    Our deepest condolences to her family and relatives.


  • KGSS Parent Committee's Breakfast Party

    "K.Gulbenkian" Secondary school's Parents’ Committee had organized "Foul" breakfast party on the 15th of January, in the "Nabaa Anjar" restaurant.

       

    Ms. Sevan Atamian, the conductor of the feast, after welcoming the guests stressed the role of the Armenian woman in supporting the Armenian school, both morally and financially. After her words she invited mothers to participate in the feast by songs, jokes and games.

     
    Then, the presents digested the delicious "Foul", a traditional Arabic breakfast, under the rhythms of Armenian festive songs played by DJ Boggy (Boghos Kendirjian). Worth mentioning that the Parents' committee organizes many activities during the school year, whose income goes to the school.

  • Anjar Black Belt Amity Started The Kong Fu Competition With 14 Medals...

    The first match of Tao Lou competition organized by the "Lebanese Kung Fu & Wushu" Federation took place on Sunday 28th of December in the H.M.E.M. Sport Club of Antelias.

    Our athletes won four gold, five silver and five bronze medal.
    1- Traditional long weapon:  Sarine Arabian: Gold Medal.
                                                   Christine Arabian: Silver Medal.
                                                    Vatche Daghlian: Bronze Medal.
    2 - Traditional short weapon:

          Sarine Arabian, Christine Arabian and Vatche Daghlian: Silver Medal:
    3 - Traditional without weapon: Sarine Arabian: Silver Medal
                                                        Vatche Daghlian: Bronze medal.
    4 – Jian Shu:    Chantal Adajian: Bronze medal.
    5 – Qiang shu:  Chantal Adajian: Bronze medal.
    6 – Nan Gun:   Heghnar Kazanjian: Bronze medal.
    7 – Nan Dao:   Heghnar Kazanjian: Gold medal.
    8 – Dao shu:    Sose Kazanjian: Gold medal.

  • Wedding!!!

    We are happy to announce that Mr. Levon Tashjian and Ms. Tamar Injeyan got married on the 29th of December in the "Sourp Asdvazain" Church in Cyprus. Congratulations... 


  • Christmas Ball Of Hamazkayin "B.Sevag" Chapter

    Christmas Ball of Hamazkayin “B. Sevag” chapter took place on Saturday, 3rd of January starting from 9:00 pm in "Arev" restaurant, in the presence of more than 350 people, under the auspices of the Lebanese MP member, Mr. Elie Skef.

                           
    Among the guests were Lebanese Parliament members Mr. Salim Aoun, Mr. Asem Araji and Mr. Hasan Yacoub, the mayor Mr. Sebouh Sekayan, representative of the ARF “Garmir Ler” Committee, representatives of different associations in Anjar.

    Mr. Hagop Aintablian made the opening words on behalf of Hamazkatin “B. Sevag” Chapter then invited Mr. Sahag Andekian to convey a message in Arabic language.

                                  

    The conductor of the feast, Mr. Saro Kendirjian welcomed the people and invited the singers Manouk Minasian, Shake Baghdasarian, Jano Khozian and Wadih Mrad where they created a high spirit and extended the feast till 3:00AM, where a substantial amount of donations was collected.


  • Christmas In Anjar

    On the 5th of January at 4:00 pm after the Mass that took place in "St. Paul" church, the choir of the church visited the houses to announce the birth of Jesus. Later at midnight, the bells of the church invited the people to participate in the Christmas prayers which was held in the "St. Paul" chuch by Rev. Father Ashod Karakashian.

     

    On January 6th, the Evangelical and the Orthodox churches of Anjar were full of people who had come to celebrate the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ. After the Mass, the vestry and the women's associations of "St.Paul" Church invited the people to a gathering in "K.Guilbenkian" hall.

     

    The aim of the gathering was to enhance the process of congratulating one another, and starting the New Year with a strong will of cooperation, to accomplish the heavy task of keeping life going in a smooth way in our beloved village.
