On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the HMEM Lebanon, the central committee of HMEM has organized a special ceremony on Friday14th of October in the "Emile Lahoud" Hall, Beirut.

During the ceremony a group of old HMEM comrades were honored for their long service in the HMEM family among whom were our compatriots Mr. Levon Tashjian and Mr. Samuel Boyadjian. We congratulate them and our Anjar branch and wish them further achievements.

On Friday 14th of November, "S. Zetlian" Center was full of our compatriots who had come to listen to Mr. Yessayi Havatian, who was invited by the Cultural Committee of the Hamazkayin "B.Sevag' Chapter to give a lecture about being proud to be Armenian.

For almost an hour Mr. Yessayi talked about our national values and the prominent Armenians who had succeeded in different fields around the world and made their country proud of them. 

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Harout and Rita Lakissian who were blessed with a new baby boy, George-Kevork, brother of Dzavi, Bedig, Nayirie and Shant on Tuesday 11th of November, in USA.

Beside providing medical care facilities to a large number of compatriots, LOKH "Aghtamar" Chapter with its different active committees organizes annual events, medical, physiological and social lectures, needle work, computer and gastronomy session which all aim in motivating our feminine class to increase their knowledge and establishing a typical Armenian family.

 
During the last month, our chapter has organized a "Dikranagerdi" needlework session having as an instructor Mrs. Anahid Doudaklian, a gastronomy session by Ms. Maro Chorekjian and "Golden Autumn" celebration feast in the "Aljazira" restaurant where the message of the day was conveyed by Mrs. Lousin Aprahamian-Topalian.

We wish further achievements and new successes to our committee.

On Saturday November the first, Mr. Asbed Chaparian and Ms. Prence Koseyan said their "I Do" during the Holy Matrimony ceremony that took place in the Arm. Catholic Church of Anjar. Congratulations... 

On Thursday 30th of October, Doc. Ashod Melkonian, the editor of the "Ararad" documentary film visited Anjar for the presentation of his film for the first time in Anjar, in the "Mousa Ler" hall.

After the welcoming words conveyed by Mr. George Apelian on behalf of the ARF "Garmir Ler" committee's Organizational council, the editor was invited to give an explanation about his mounting experience and the preparation of the film.  After watching the film for about one and half of an hour, our compatriots were able to ask question to the editor and congratulated him for his great achievement.
