  • Mr. Tim Llewellyn From England Visited Anjar

    Mr. Tim Llewellyn, a journalist from England is in Lebanon to write a book about Lebanon before and now.

    Anjarian society being a part of the Lebanese community had to say its words too, so Mr. Tim gave us a visit on Wednesday, 27th of June and met with the members of the Organizational Committee of ARF "Garmir Ler" Committee.
    Latest developments of the country and their influences on our society were the main point discussed during the meeting. Then he visited the Mousaler Martyr's Monument, the ruins of Anjar and tasted our delicious food in one of the restaurants.

  • Arm. Evan. Kindergarten Graduation Celebration

    "The Armenian Language''  was the theme of the K.G. celebration of the Arm. Evan. School in Anjar, which took place on Saturday, 23rd of June in the ''Hedwig'' hall.

     The children presented wonderful dances and presentations which were the harvest of their hard work.

           

    Congratulations for everyone. And hope that each one of them will be the future pride of their parents and our beloved village.

                       

         


  • The New Committee Of LOKH "Aghtamar" Chapter

    LOKH "Aghtamar" comrades chose their new committee members, on Friday 22nd of June. The new committee members are:

  • The Monument Of Franz Werfel In Austria

    The official opening of Franz Werfel's (author of "The Forty Days Of Mousadagh") monument was made on October 9, 1998 in the Sheller Square in Vienna, by the Foreign minister of Armenia Mr. Vartan Osganyan and the vice mayor of Vienna Dr. Bernard Kiork.

    The idea of the monument and its realization  were the result of the laborious work and the big efforts of the Armenian Cultural Organization of Austria, its chairman Mr. Razmig Tamrazian - Haroutunian, the Foreign minister of Armenia, Mousaler Association of Armenia and many other Armenian compatriots.

    The architect of the monument is Mr. Roland Mardirosian and its sculptor,  Mr. Vahan Bedrosian.

  • “Haratch” Kindergarten Graduation

    The students of the "Haratch" Kindergarten School had their graduation ceremony on  Saturday 16th of June, in the backyard of the "K.Guilbenkian" Sec. School.
    The children sang songs and danced gracefully bringing joy and delight to the souls of their parents.

                              

     

                            


    At the end 22 students had their diplomas and graduated from kindergarten, to continue the path of education in the elementary classes of “Haratch” “K. Guilbenkian” Sec. School.

  • Four New Medals For Anjar Black Belt Amity

    On Sunday June 3, Anjar Black Belt Amity students participated in the last competition of Taou Lou organized by the Lebanese Kung Fu & Wushu federation in the Antounie Baabda (Beirut).

    Worth mentioning that this competition was for adults and our students were just 14 and 15 years old and they were able to get four medals.

  • Obituaries

    With our deep sorrow we inform you the death of Mrs. Hayganoush Tanghian (75yrs.) and Mrs. Satenig Panosian (86 yrs.) that happened on Monday, 4th of June.

    The funeral services took place on Tuesday, at 1:30 and 3:00 pm successively in the "St.Paul" Church.
    Our deep condolences to their families and relatives.


  • The Musical Education Inside The Armenian Family

    The executive committee of LOKH "Akhtamar" Chapter is continuing to serve the community in different directions through its clinical, social and educational services.
    Last Friday, on June 1st at 7:30 PM, in “Mousa Ler” Hall, the committee had organized a lecture about “The Musical Education Inside The Armenian Family ”. The representative of the chapter, Ms. Garine Kesablian after her opening words invited Mr. Zakar Keshishian to speak about the subject.
    For almost an hour he spoke about the musical education inside our families and about the influence of parents in encouraging their children towards music.
